MistyWisp is a vanilla Rust outpost for solo and duo players. The rules below exist to keep fights fair, the wipe cycle predictable, and the chat survivable. Every line is enforced. We log every action and we appeal in writing.

The Rules

- 01
Group Cap
PermanentMistyWisp is solo and duo. Two-player teams maximum. Coordinated PvP, shared raids, or a shared base between groups breaks the cap and is treated as cheating.
- Trading at Outpost or Bandit during a truce is fine.
- Defending a friendly raid for a few minutes is not the same as running it together.
- Investigations look at base proximity, voice logs, kill assists, and item flow over time — not single moments.

Cheats & Exploits
PermanentEAC is enforced and we trust its decisions. Macros, scripts, ESP, third-party overlays, terrain or door glitches, infinite recycle, and any unintended duplication are bannable on sight. We do not manually overturn EAC bans.

Player Conduct
Temp BanTrash talk between fights is part of the game. Slurs, doxing, sexual harassment, threats, or hate speech are not. Voice chat, in-game text, and Discord all count.
- First offence: 24-hour ban and a written warning.
- Second offence: 7-day ban.
- Third offence or any RL threat: permanent ban, no appeal.

Stream Sniping
Temp BanDo not queue specifically to follow a streamer. Do not act on in-game information you only know because you watched their stream. Reports require timestamped clips and the suspect's Steam profile.

Real-Money Trades
PermanentNo selling accounts, items, base locations, raid intel, or admin favours for real money. No buying advantages from other players. Discovered RMT activity ends with a permanent ban and an IP block on both buyer and seller.

Bug Abuse
WarningFind an exploit, report it. Use the #bug-reports channel on Discord with a clip and steps to reproduce. Reporting an exploit gets you a thank-you and immunity for that incident; profiting from it without reporting gets you a permanent ban.

Impersonation
PermanentDo not pretend to be an admin, the owner, Facepunch, EAC, or Steam Support — in-game, in Discord DMs, or anywhere a MistyWisp player might see it. Permanent ban without warning.

Enforcement
How rules get applied — and how to push back
Appeals
Every ban can be appealed exactly once via the Discord ticket system. We read every appeal. Most are denied. EAC bans are never overturned.
Admin Discretion
Admins reserve the right to act on behaviour that ruins the server even when it is not listed above. Every action is logged. We never ban silently — bans are posted in the public log channel within 24 hours.
Connecting to MistyWisp constitutes acceptance of the rules above. Rules may change when Facepunch ships major patches or when the community grows beyond what the current ruleset covers. Material changes are announced in the Discord #announcements channel and backdated here.
